I saw Ten Foot Polecats for the first time August 26, at Geezers Garage. They were great. Jim Chilson and the sound out of that guitar he plays is really something. Really looking forward to seeing them again.

James Cotton is great! , But I also like Junor Wells, John Mayall, Charley Musselwhite, Little Sonny. Bob Dylan, and Sonny Boy Williams are all my top picks. I don'y know anything about blogs, only know I love the Blues, even more w/ the harmonica in it. Thanks for sharing

There are many questions and answers here. However I must conclude that Bobby Whitlock has a surprise around every corner for his fans and for himself. Maybe the best is yet to come. Maybe there will be a reunion with Eric someday, any day, any way. Perhaps time will only tell....

Lady K and Boston Blues Society- Thanks so much for a great review and for your support. It was a great night at the Inn and thanks go out to Joe Lipton and his great staff there. I just wanted to clarify a couple of things:
- "A Man Down There" is actually Sonny Boy Williamson's "One Way Out" (from my 5PM Breakfast CD.
-"Everybody Smile" is actually "Everybody's Smilin'" (not yet recorded)
-The "washboard vest" I donned is called a "frottoir".
-Our drummer's last name is Hall, not Halls.
Thanks again and thanks for supporting independent bands.
Best wishes,
Rockin' Jake

Hendrix, Mayall, and Joplin all played the Blues, and so do these guys, just not like everybody else did/does. Every time I've seen Throwdown I leave feeling like I was just part of something very special. These guys got it going on.

From the first time I saw Eric, Stan, John and Skip perform I was hooked by the raw energy and talent that these guys displayed. The high octane, in your face rocking blues gave me flashbacks to the 60's and 70's greats like Jimi Hendrix, Wishbone Ash, early Grand Funk, Robin Trower, just to name a few. I have been a big advocate of these guys ever since and feel if they got the right break they could make quite a name for themselves. One of the best bands around.
